My Dear Friends, Family and Faithful Supporters,
Spring has brought about some exciting new developments for She Shoots
to Conquer Productions, both for the short film, Ménage à trois and
more importantly,
for our new feature project, A Pretty Girl (A Sheyne
Meydl).
Ménage à trois update:
We are nearing the end of our run and have only a handful of
festivals left. However, we anticipate ending on a high note with our Australian
Premiere
at
the
inaugural
Heart of Gold International Film Festival in Gympie, Australia in October, 2006!
It
has
been
a
wonderful year on the circuit, screening in over 35 venues, 15 of which were
film festivals. Ménage à trois was honored
with Best Short Film at the Red
Bank
(NJ)
International
Film
Festival and Filmmakers’ Favorite at the (Washington)
DC
Shorts
Fest. It was a Finalist at the USA Film Festival
in Dallas, TX, and both our leading actors were awarded Best Actor and Best
Actress at the Chicks With Flicks Film Festival in New York City. Overall,
we couldn't be happier with the film's smashing success!
A
Pretty Girl news:
And speaking of smashing, what an exciting year 2006 is shaping up to be! When
I
was
in
Florida
in April and May for the back-to-back Palm Beach and SunScreen (St.Petersburg)
film
festivals, I met a wide array of fabulous Floridians; ranging from filmmakers,
local production crew members, state and county film commissioners and potential
investors
- all of whom were delighted to hear that we will be bringing production southward
and were very enthusiastic about lending their support to this project! We have
begun the initial scout for locations, started conversations with the dynamic
local
filmmaking community and have plans to shoot establishing footage as soon
as this
December, 2006!
At home in New
York, we have been speaking with lawyers, producers and even more potential
investors, and we are starting to assemble a real package to help bring this
project
to fruition!
You can be a vital supporter of independent film!
Of course, all this takes start-up funds. We are currently in the fundraising
/ financing stage of development. Our goal is to bring this film to the screen
by 2008.
Without
financial support,
this will be impossible. Your contribution can help us bring this amazing project
to light. From $5.00 to $500.00 to $50,000.00 and beyond, we appreciate your
generous donations at every level! Non tax-deductible financial gifts can be
transmitted
securely
via PayPal by visiting our website and

$20,000.00 for professional retainers to get us up and off
the ground.
But
how can my $10.00 contribution help when you're looking for so much??
